MB here at Hampshire Coppice Craftsmens Group we strive to give you the most upto date news and information about the group and the coppice industry.

Welcome to the Hampshire Coppice Craftsmens Group website. The Group was set up in 2003 with the aim of supporting the work of coppice, underwood and associated craftsmen in Hampshire, as well as raising awareness of the benefits and opportunities they provide for woodlands and their wildlife, the landscape, rural employment and sustainable development.

The site also aims to promote the use of local sustainable products such as Hazel hurdles, Spars, bean sticks, charcoal, logs, etc.

Group members take part in many demonstrations and shows thought the year where group members demonstrate a wide range of traditional skills including Hurdle, spar and walking stick making as well as pole lathe turning and charcoal burning. If you are a show organizers and are looking for something different at your show contact the group using the contact page with details.

As part of her Coppice support role Toni Brannon has been working on the Work'in Woods project based in the Southdowns National Park.

We aim to make the Coppice group site as accessible as possible to every one on the internet. We have a search facility which will link you to all documents on the page relevant to your search question but if you need more help fell free to fill in the contact page.

Since its inception HCCG has been activity promoting coppicing and associated crafts within Hampshire. The intention of this site is to promote the work of the group, as well as giving a voice to the people working in the woodlands of Hampshire.

The Coppice Craftsmens Group is also a member of Hampshire Fare who promote local producers of food, drink and crafts based in Hampshire.
