Members of the Coppice group at the film launch outside the Wessex film archive

Eleven HCCG members attended the film launch at the the Wessex Film and Sound Archive on 24th February. Dave Partridge's name was pulled out of the hat and the group retired to the archive theatre to watch Dave’s film which proved to have no sound. (Subsequently a VHS copy with sound has been supplied to the archive.) The films of Paul Vodden, John and Kester Westcott were shown too.

The Woodman’s Secret Ball was held at Hyde Working Men’s Club near Fordingbridge on 7th March and fifty one attended to watch the three edited films. After expenses for stationery, postage and the buffet,
£109.50 profit was handed over to Huw Edwards our Treasurer to go towards retaining the existing camera
within the coppice group to enable future filming. Some lessons were learnt to be used in future shows.
The plan is to repeat this successful convivial evening at other venues around the county.
