Hampshire Coppice Craftsmen made a good showing at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park Show in July.
We had a 100 feet run of tents containing five separate groups, with up to 11 members of the group demonstrating various aspects of coppice and associated crafts.

Two of the tents were the new shelters constructed as part of the LHI project.

The demonstrations included tent peg and border panel making, walking sticks and wands, spar making, shingle making, pole lathe turning and green woodworking. some of these crafts where filmed by WoodlandsTV.

Although it was a bit quiet on the Saturday as the weather was doubtful, the Show was busy on Sunday and we had crowds gathered round watching our work for most of the day.

HCCG made a good showing and put country craftsmanship into the Show. It was appreciated by a wide audience, and generally was a good weekend.
