The annual cider Pressing festival was held at New Forest Cider Burley in October 2008.

Amongst the craft line up there were 5 APT members (7 HCCG members and 2 Dorset Coppice group members) Who kept one pole lathe turning most of the Weekend for some reason it takes 5 to turn continuously perhaps something to do with the apple juice.

Also on display was a Power lathe turner for the forest of dean on Sunday morning his electric motor went bang which meant he was totally snookered. He stood by his lathe for about an hour and when he couldn’t take the ribbing from the Pole lathe turners any more he left a note on his lathe saying “sorry pole Broke” and went off to read the information near the shelter of the Sheppard’s hut steps.
