As part of the Local Heritage Initiative HCCG has been investigating the historical aspects of the coppice industry such as the products that were produced within the county of Hampshire. As part of the Display some of these have been recreated and pictures of these can be seen here. HCCG would like to thank Les Skinner of Bootle (one of the last traditional Barrel hoop makers left) and Peter Moors of the Dorset Coppice Group for the chair.
